MayaActs pleasant and cheerful for other people's sakes. The fact that it feels a little unnatural can sometimes have the opposite effect. She means well, though. Maya always seems to know a little more than she lets on...more than a 12-year-old should know, anyway. |
SashaScrungly and caustic tsundere. Sort of a creature. He lost a large part of his soul (literally) when he was younger, so the fact that he has any amicable qualities at all is a miracle of his own perseverance. |
EvelynA somewhat meek but earnest Good Girl type. I sat here trying to think of a more detailed description, but her charm really is in her simple and straightforward personality. |
PacoGenuinely affable, but something about him makes him feel just a little bit shady (and it's not the shades). |
MardöllHas the personality of a feral cat that will let you pet it, but then immediately bites you. Calling her feral isn't too far off, since she's had very little contact with actual society. Yes I am aware that 'ö' isn't displaying correctly above, no I am not changing it. |
YewUptight, no-nonsense guy. Punch clock villain whose heart just isn't in it. Imagine a vegan vampire. He isn't too far off from that concept. |
???Mardöll's "dad." So ever-present throughout the story that you'd think he was the Main Antagonist or something, but he's actually just nosy & here for a good time. Every word from his mouth drips with insincerity. |
HederaA "big sis" type at first glance. Hedera was a girl who dreamed of becoming an Olympic figure skater before she died. She still dedicates herself to improving, but is there any real point if there's no audience? |
HollyStupid, annoying, smug, and easily rattled. The "oldest" of the characters introduced, Holly is the most mentally eroded of the cast. He's been dead so long he can barely remember anything about what he was like, let alone human values. He'll do anything to survive even just one more day. |
AshFlaky and naive to a fault. Dying damaged their personality to an unusual extent. Ash may not have any malice, but they're still just as apt to kill you simply because they don't know any better. |
